On this page you will find our EAP (Early Access Program) and Beta features which are available for testing before they are made available to everyone. This allows us to get critical feedback to ensure we make the best choices we can, taking into account user feedback, before features go out to our full user base.

Who can access the Beta features?

Everyone! Each user can decide whether to activate the features or not via the lab controls button. Activating the feature only has an action on the user who toggled the features on or off.

Available Beta Features:

  • No available features at present

How to enable EAP and/or BETA Features?

To give you access we need your Azure userID, you can see what your userID is at any point when you’re logged in by pulling up this URL: https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/_apis/connectiondata

We need the very first bit to identify you: {"authenticatedUser":{"id":"cb3x53fa-588x-423a-8bb4-8a4898da0dxx"

What features are currently being tested?

These can change at any time. You’ll always find the documentation here for features currently in beta.

  • Azure saved data sets.

What if I have issues with features in Beta?

If you have issues with the features in Beta, revert back to using the standard version.

Beta is experimental so features there are not supported like our production application is. But, that doesn’t mean we don’t want to know about your experience. Please submit an issue via our support portal and make sure to let us know it has to do with the Beta feature.
