This page contains information about changes in the recent releases for our standalone SaaS version of ActionableAgile at https://analytics.actionableagile.com and changes to our labs area where we test new features. All labs changes will be identified as such.

Just in time for the Holidays, we’re releasing some new and improved features!

  • We’ve redesigned our Work Item Dialogue for upgraded aesthetics and simplified use.

  • We’ve upgraded our Beta experience! Labs is no longer a separate app; you simply toggle the Labs icon within the app!

  • Within the new Beta experience, you’ll find the gift of our new charts, including the Beta versions of the Heat Map, Source Data Chart, Throughput Run Chart, and WIP Run Chart!

  • We fixed a bug where the Process Behaviour Chart failed to load.

  • We migrated the code for chart controls for all charts but the Monte Carlo simulations to a new library, allowing us to make faster changes in the future.

  • 🎉 We removed many alert popups and replaced them with messages in the affected controls. This is because many of the alerts confused users more than helped them when they were out of context from the controls the information impacted.

  • 🎉 Now, instead of hiding controls related to percentiles when there are fewer than 10 completed items, we show the controls as disabled with an alert message as to why they are disabled.

  • We fixed some instances where the text wasn't showing up properly.

  • 🎉 We deployed a new improved file loader! You can now drag and drop files into the dialog or use the file selector to load your external data into ActionableAgile. What's more, we've added quick validation to alert you of any problematic lines in your file so you can decide to stop or proceed and view them in the error report. Learn more.

  • 🐞 We fixed an issue in our new OAuth Jira Cloud loader that caused you only to be able to access the first 50 boards you have access to.

  • 🐞 We fixed a bug in which typing into the subscription form was interacting with the chart-changing keystrokes, causing a failure of the form submission.

  • 🎉 We deployed a new and improved internationalization framework to support our current English and French languages and to make it easier to support new languages in the future.

  • A new header experience we’ve been testing in our lab! Read more

  • Removal of the beta label from the Trello data loader

  • Increased password complexity requirements for user accounts from 6 characters to a minimum of 8. Also, the password must contain one uppercase letter, one number, and one special character. The password screen will now guide you so that you understand the requirements as you are creating the password.

  • An option to show/hide your password on the login screen

  • anonymous usage analytics of the new Process Behavior chart are now sent to MixPanel

We have released the following to ActionableAgile Analytics!

  • We have added support for archived cards in Trello. 🎉 💪🏽 Archived cards are now considered as having entered the last workflow stage and you have a field called Archived In that shows where the card was when it was archived.

  • We have fixed a number of bugs in the Heat Map chart regarding tooltip displays

  • We fixed a bug in the Aging Work In Progress chart in which the chart throws errors when you disable all workflow stages.

  • We have begun the back-end process of consolidating and migrating our internal APIs to AWS. This will allow better compliance with enterprise expectations and security standards.

We have released the following to our ActionableAgile Labs only!

  • We have increased password complexity for user accounts authenticating with user/password.

  • We have added the option to show/hide your password on the login screen

  • We updated links in the welcome dialog box which you can revisit from the dropdown.

  • You now must have an active subscription to access the app. Previously you could load data when your subscription expired but not use any chart controls. This did not have significant value so we simplified our options by removing this freemium option.

  • We now have the ability to use a URL to submit a properly formatted data file to ActionableAgile.

  • Text regarding trial length has been updated to reflect the increase from 14 days to 30.

  • We fixed a bug in which people who canceled, but should have access until the end of their subscription period, were blocked from access.

  • We have made multiple improvements to our trial and subscription management system. Users can now:

    • Join another user’s subscription from a trial using an invite code as long as you have no other users in your trial. You can also use an invite code from an expired trial.

    • Allow you to use existing billing information or choose to update it when purchasing from a trial.

    • Users are prevented from being added to a subscription multiple times

  • Trello integration updates:

    • Resolved bug in Trello integration so that labels never gets confused with a workflow stage.

    • Obfuscated API token in Trello wizard.

    • Set the groundwork for Blocked calculations to use a label of ‘blocked’ (case-insensitive) in Trello. (integration will be removed from Beta once this is done)

  • We no longer require (but still prefer) that workflow stage containing the word Backlog and/or Options be the first stage. However, if you do have it that way, we’ll treat the 1st column like a backlog and uncheck that stage so it is not included in metrics calculations.

  • Added clarifying text to Stability module on Dashboard to show that it is a reflection of all data loaded until today, this month or this week.

  • Removed Beta text for Calendar feature on Monte Carlo simulations and made them visible by default.

  • TWIG changes (https://analytics.actionableagile.com/twig )

    • Removed loading options as the app should only be used to view example data and saved game data.
