There are three types of Jira data you can load into ActionableAgile
(and a couple of things to remember when you load your data)

You also have the option of loading an external .csv file from Jira or from any other data source. If using a .csv file, you’ll need to make sure your data conforms to the correct file format. You can also use the built-in example data to get familiar with how the tool works if you have limited data.

After you load your board, project or filter, there are 2 final steps (choices to make) to prepare your data for use.

Loading a Jira Board

When you choose ‘Load a Board,’ a dialog box will open and provide a list of boards that you have access to in your Jira instance. At the top, you will see a list of boards you have recently looked at in ActionableAgile. Underneath, you’ll see the full list of boards you can choose from. (See the image to the right)

Once you have finished with the wizard in the dialog box, your data will be ready for you to use within ActionableAgile for Jira.

Loading a Jira Project

When you choose ‘Load a Project,’ a dialog box will open and provide a list of projects that you have access to in your Jira instance. At the top, you will see a list of projects you have recently looked at in ActionableAgile. Underneath, you’ll see the full list of projects you can choose from.

Loading a Jira Filter

When you choose ‘Load a Filter,’ a dialog box will open and provide a list of all of the filters that you have marked as a Favorite in Jira. It is not enough to be able to access a filter, you must have marked it as a favorite. At the top of the dialog box, you will see a list of filters you have recently looked at in ActionableAgile. Underneath, you’ll see your full list of favorite filters.

Check for Updates / Reloading your Data

You will find that there are times when you want to load in a fresh copy of your data. To do this, just go to the folder icon and choose the option that says “Check for Updates to” followed by the name of the project, board, or filter you have loaded. This functionality will go get a fresh copy of all of the data to ensure that no change is left behind.
