This page is designed to help you troubleshoot issues with Portfolio Forecaster for Jira Cloud. If your issue is mentioned in the Suggested Troubleshooting section or if it’s not listed here, we encourage you to raise a support request.

General App

If you encounter a "no access" error page when trying to access the app, even though it’s visible in the dropdown menu,

There may be an issue with your Jira permissions.

Please reach out to our support team and include a HAR file in your message.

If you see a licensing error page when trying to access the app, despite it appearing in the dropdown menu,

There could be an issue with your licensing of the app.

Contact Atlassian Support.

If you receive a 404 error when accessing a URL,

The page may have been deleted by an administrator.

Check with an administrator.

Group Forecast Page

If you’re unable to access a page that you’ve been granted permission to view,

There may have been an issue with storing the information in the backend. It’s possible there was user error: you might not have selected the "save" option in the permissions view or you may not be a member of the group for which the permission was granted.

Please provide the URL for the forecast so we can retrieve the ID. Additionally, ask the page administrator to supply an image of the sharing dialog. If the content was shared with a group, please ensure that you are indeed a member of that group.

If you’re experiencing persistent loading issues on the forecast page, and the Re-Forecast feature is unavailable while the page is still loading,

The job of generating forecasts may currently be blocked, preventing you from re-forecasting.

Please provide the URL that includes the ID for the forecast and the approximate time when it was triggered.

If you receive a notification stating, "New changes to the configuration,"

The new configuration does not trigger a forecast update while the forecast is being generated.

Please select the re-forecast option.

If you can only select one specific day for the forecast, without the option to view multiple versions of the forecast for that day,

It is not possible to view multiple forecasts from the same day.

This is a known issue - no additional information is needed.

If you notice that the configuration for the new forecast is appearing in the old forecasts,

We do not retain previous versions of the configuration; we only maintain the current version.

Please review the information box and confirm whether the details appear accurate. Additionally, please submit a query that demonstrates the completion of 10 or more matching items and provide screenshots of your configuration, ensuring to include whether overrides are toggled on.

If a banner indicates that no likelihoods or forecasts will be displayed until at least 10 items have been completed,

The current configuration may be overly restrictive.

Please select the re-forecast option. If that does not work, please provide the URL that includes the ID for the forecast and the approximate time when it was triggered.

If a recent forecast was initiated some time ago but remains unavailable on the forecast page,

Instructions may not have been delivered to the backend process or backend processing may be hung and unable to complete.

Please provide the URL that includes the ID for the forecast and the approximate time when it was triggered.

If you have concerns that the throughput displayed on the forecast page appears to be incorrect.

Check if an override is being used in step three of the forecasts configuration.

You lack the required permissions to access this item.

We respect the Jira permissions, so check with your Jira admin if you have any questions.

We can’t find this Jira board
The board used by this forecast isn’t reachable right now.

If the board no longer exists, please update this forecast’s configuration and choose a different board.

Otherwise, please contact our support team and reference the error code “BoardConfigError: Not Found” so we can help you resolve the problem.
