✅ Admin Upgrade Guide: ActionableAgile® Analytics for Jira Cloud
Important: ActionableAgile® Analytics must be upgraded by June 15, 2025 to continue receiving feature updates and support. This guide walks you through the one-time upgrade process required by Atlassian.
We have temporarily removed the deadline due to intermittent issues with upgrading apps on the Atlassian platform. We will reinstate a new deadline when the problem is resolved.
🔧 Why This Upgrade Is Required
We’ve moved ActionableAgile® Analytics from Atlassian’s older Connect framework to the new Forge platform.
This transition brings improved performance, enhanced security, and new features — but it requires new scopes (permissions), which Jira Cloud mandates be approved manually by a site admin.
Without your approval, the app will remain in an unsupported state and may lose functionality.
📋 How to Upgrade the App
Upgrading is fast and safe — it does not affect your data or require reinstallation.
Steps:
Navigate to Jira → Apps → Manage Apps
Find ActionableAgile® Analytics in the list of installed apps
If an upgrade is required, you will see an Upgrade button
Click Upgrade, review the scope changes, and confirm
You're done!
🔍 How to Identify Outdated Versions
You can check your version number in Manage Apps.
Version Format | Meaning | Supported? |
|---|---|---|
| Older Connect-based version | ❌ No (must upgrade) |
| Forge-based version | ✅ Yes |
If your version ends in -AC, your team is on an outdated version that will be unsupported after June 15, 2025.
⚠ What Happens If You Don’t Upgrade
If the app isn’t upgraded by June 15, 2025:
🚫 New features will not be available
⚠ Some functionality may stop working
🛠 We will no longer provide support for the outdated version
🔒 Your team may experience degraded app behavior over time
🔐 Why We Need New Permissions (Scopes)
This upgrade introduces:
Compatibility with Atlassian’s modern Forge hosting platform
Enhanced data residency options for global compliance
Improved privacy protections and performance
The new scopes are necessary to support these changes.
Please note that all data is stored in Stockholm, Sweden, by default. New customers can choose their data residency to be either in the US (North Virginia), Australia (Sydney), or Sweden (Stockholm).
We do not yet support residency migration but we are working on it! We will update our roadmap once we have more details
